Spelling??? I hate it!

I like school, kind of. Well, depends on the subject. I love reading, history, science, and the funny thing is, I like writing. Writing? (Didn't I just say I hated spelling? Maybe the word "Hate" is a type-o.) No, sadly it is not a type-o. It is true I hate spelling. It's not that I don't like the subject. I believe it would be "perfectly lovely" as Anne of green gables would say. If I was just better at it, I would like it.
You may think, "Well she isn't a bad speller. All of her posts are mostly spelled right. But you see, I have a secret cover upper for my bad spelling. It is called my mom. You can read the post "ABC 123 and where I learned them" to find out how amazing she is. Any way, that's beside the point. I'm supposed to be telling you about my spelling sadly.
Do you know why I'm a bad speller? Well, it's not my fault at all or at least I like to tell myself that it's my dad's fault. I was born with bad spelling! That's unfair, right? but you see it's not his fault either. It's someone's fault that's probably not living any more-- grrr. So I'm going to stop the trait. I'm going to marry someone who is such a good speller that my kids will all be good spellers and the trait will STOP!
I'm sad I'm a not-so-good speller, but its OK because I have an awesome mom and big sister who are excellent spellers. So no worries, hakuna matata! And some day I'll show you that I can have a writing career without being a good speller. We have it all planned out. I'll write, Liberty will illustrate, and Clarissa will edit! Good idea right?
Well, anyway, I should probably go finish my school. But first I need to go get my mom to correct my post.

  1. Everybody has something that is hard for them...I have a lot of somethings. I am horrible with directions. I can't quickly tell left from right. I always head the wrong way (the way I just came from) when I leave a store at the mall. I always came in last at track meets in elementary school. I can't follow a sewing pattern or piece a quilt. I could go on and on but I'll run out of space.

You have your mom to fix your spelling and I have Adam who I can call on my cell phone when I'm lost. (it happens ALL the time)
