On the first Monday of every February, we always make our valentine's box! First we get a BIG box and wrap it with the white side of wrapping paper or if we have some valentine's-day-ish wraping paper we use that. Then we divide into teams:
Liberty and Carolina or the Valentine Friends
Clarissa and Hyrum or the Mighty Hearts
Me and Morgan or The Red Hots!
Also my mom was on a team (with no name) and my dad was on a team too (with no name.)
We had alot of fun. The Valentine Friends put pictures of people on their sides. They also put on a paper tulip and some hearts!
The Mighty Hearts did a heart attack! (Or that's what they said) They made alot of hearts and taped them all over the top! And guess what? Clarissa finally taught Hyrum how to cut out a heart after he kept telling her he could do it (even though he couldn't). But when she finally taught it to him he said, "Oh I see! That's cool!"
The Red Hots (the best team by far) made light pink, light green, and purple hearts and cut out light yellow checked bow shapes for the hearts!
My mom's side had pictures of everyone in our family cut out in heart shapes! It was VERY cute!
My dad's side is always awesome! He had the usual blue (his favorite color...Not a very valentine-ish color) and red hearts with all of our family's names on them! Also he always puts a football shape with BYU on it and this time he also put on a BYU basketball! Last year he even put a heart that said GO MITT ROMNEY!
We had so much fun!

ReplyDeleteGO BYU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a family with girls in it. I used to try to stir my family in the direction of Valentines and they won't join in except Emma. We're forgetting the boys altogether and having our Valen-tiny party. I wish you girls could come.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Do you want me to put a link to your blog on mine? I was going to (for Grandpa...it's easier for him if he can just click) but I thought I should check with you first.
XO
I like the idea of a Valentine box. I think we'll have to try that, although I don't think Ruby really cares at this point. Tabor probably doesn't either, but his side would be cool with horses and stuff.
