Yesterday was Liberty's and my first basket ball practice. For those of you who have never been to Wells, it is an awesome place but it is VERY small. In Elko, Spring Creek, and even Carlin, girls' basketball teams are 3rd grade through 4th grade and 5th grade through 6th grade. No, not in Wells. We have no 3rd grade basketball and we have a 4th through 6th grade team. And the little 4th graders get to play against BIG 6th graders. (Do you ever wonder why Wells NEVER wins any games?)
Any way, back to yesterday. Our basketball team has a million (well, maybe only 7) 4th graders, 3 or 4 5th graders, and only 1, just 1, not 2, just 1 6th grader...me.
To make things worse. I've never been very tall--always been kind of average. I guess Wells doesn't produce big tall giraffe-like girls like my mom any more because I, me, the averege one you know, is the tallest girl on the team!
I don't see any big wins in our team's future, but you know it doesn't really matter. It will be really fun doing it with Liberty. And I'm looking forward to a fun but not really winful season. (So if you really don't want to see us lose really bad, maybe I should suggest not to come to any of our games.)
