It's Over!!

I absolutly LOVE being in plays. I love feeling I'm a part of something, I love getting to know fellow cast membors in the hours spent together in a burning hot dressing room, I love learning lines, songs, entrances and exits, I love wearing a costume and make-up, I love getting a t-shirt and having every one sign it. I love having only songs from the play in my head for weeks.

But one thing I DON'T like about plays is when they're over. I just had to experience one of these tragedies on Saturday. It started to dawn on me at the end of the matinee at the pot- luck in between shows when the cast presented our wonderful director Verdene with a present. I started holding back tears when we sang happy birthday to Dorothy. Then I had to tell Clarissa (who had not been holding back tears) to go wash the mascara stains from crying off her face. And at Cast call I thought, I'll never do this again! When I was about to go on stage and when I was on stage, it was are last time!!

What was even worse was saying good bye to all my new friends, knowing (especially sinse I live in Wells) I will probably never see some of them or not see them for a long time.

Then I came home to a wonderful note from my wonderful mother (see in blog post 1,2,3 a,b,c, and where I learned them) and just felt overwhelmed with a mixture of love, happiness, and sadness.

It was really sad having the play be over, but it was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo worth it. I loved evry minute of it and hope to be in another play soon.

PS They're doing The Sound Of Music next. So anyone who reads this blog, if you would please call my mom and help me and my sisters beg for us to try out!!!!
